In Russia 23rd February is the day dedicated to the defenders of the fatherland. This time commemorations are held all over the country, flowers are put on the grave of the unknown soldier in various cities. In Moscow, where the central celebration takes place wreaths are laid at the grave of the unknown soldier by the wall of the Kremlin.

H.E. Vladimir Sergeev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Hun-gary and Colonel Maxim Vorobiev, Military and Air Attaché gave a recep-tion on the occasion. The event was attended by the high ranked repre-sentatives of Hungarian political and social life and the law enforcement organisations, the members of the diplomatic corps and of the Russian colony in Hungary and the representative of the Orthodox Church.

Február 23. Oroszországban a haza védőinek szentelt nap. Ilyenkor országszerte ünnepélyes megemlékezéseket tartanak, virágokat he-lyeznek el az ismeretlen katona sírjánál a különböző városokban, Moszkvában, ahol a központi ünnepség zajlik, a Kreml falánál, az ismeretlen katona sírját koszorúzzák meg.

Őexc. Vladimir Sergeev, az Orosz Föderáció magyarországi nagy-követe és Maxim Vorobiev ezredes, katonai és légügyi attasé fogadást adott ebből az alkalomból. Az eseményen megjelentek a magyar po-litikai, társadalmi élet és a rendvédelmi szervek magas rangú képvi-selői, a diplomáciai testület és a magyarországi orosz kolónia.
