PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Congratulations to the LMMAR Mem-
bers and role model Executive Board
of Directors! We have successfully
completed the first half of our 2010-
2011 Term . The second half of our
term starts July 1, 2010. We are not
looking to slide down and rest. We
are looking to propel upward and for-
ward to further our successful Organi-
zation. Maybe we have been lucky,
but I think what we have accom-
plished takes a lot more than luck.
All of our success happened because
of the efforts of people like you who
make a difference despite the many
demands on your time. With winners

A Great Time Was Enjoyed At Our "European Fête"
Luncheon
B onjour! LMMAR "European Fête" Luncheon was held on Friday,
June 25, 2010 at Michael's Shoreline Restaurant. Sixty-five people
attended and were treated to a delicious lunch and fantastic enter-
tainment. The table center-pieces were decorated with pink Eiffel Towers.
We were honored to have our LMMAR Executive Advisor John Kowalchik
attend and share some recent LM business activities.
The menu consisted of Beef Burgundy, Salmon Veronique, or Chicken Kiev
with seasonal Green Salad plus Vanilla Ice Cream with Strawberry Sauce
Dessert.
The entertainment with Tibor Horvath playing the violin and Yelena
Savchenko playing the piano was outstanding. They played many Hungar-
ian, Russian, and Gypsy songs along with standard songs. Tibor is an abso-
lute character and extraordinaire with his on-going jokes and light-hearted
dialogue with the audience. Yelena is a very talented piano-key board ac-
companist and is usually the brunt of Tibor's jokes and dialogue. The thrilling
performance held the audience captivated to the end with a raving applause.
Door prize drawing for two tickets to the next LMMAR "Country & Western"
Barbeque was won by Delmar Wrensch. The second door prize, a $20.00 gift
certificate to Starbucks was won by Vihonor Bautista.
Watch for the next popular "Country & Western Barbecue" Luncheon to be
held at Michael's Shoreline Restaurant on Friday, August 27, 2010. Get
ready to enjoy or participate for a great time Western Line-Dancing. See
Flier.

THANK YOU
Dear Board of Directors,
I was amazed to receive the $50
check from LMMAR the other day. I
very seldom have won anything in my
life. Wow! I am going to give it to the
local Wildlife Rescue Center in Santa
Cruz. An amazing woman and helpers
run the place. Everywhere you turn,
there is another little habitat with an-
other rescued/being rehabilitated
small creature. As small as baby hum-
mingbirds to raccoon size - all in one
small piece of property where the
woman lives with family and animal
helpers. It is truly an amazing place.
She has rehabilitated several small
animals I have brought to her. Very
small droppers are used to feed the
baby birds every two hours around the
clock.
Thank you for giving me the opportu-
nity to help them.

Lockheed Martin-Built Trident II D5
Missile Achieves New Record of 134
Successful Test Flights In A Row
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 22nd, 2010 --
The U.S. Navy conducted successful
test flights June 8 and 9 of four Tri-
dent II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missiles
(FBMs) built by Lockheed Martin
(NYSE: LMT). The Navy launched the
unarmed missiles from the sub-
merged submarine USS Maryland
(SSBN 738) in the Atlantic Ocean.
(Continued on page 4)
Page 4 L O C K H E E D M A R T I N M A N A G E M E N T A S S O C I A T I O N R E T I R E E S
This test marked the 131st, 132nd,
133rd and 134th consecutive suc-
cessful test flights of the Trident II D5
missile since 1989 – continuing a
more than 20-year record of reliability
that is unmatched by any other large
ballistic missile or space launch vehi-
cle.
“We are proud to support the Navy in
its crucial strategic deterrence mis-
sion,” said Melanie A. Sloane, vice
president of Fleet Ballistic Missile pro-
grams, Lockheed Martin Space Sys-
tems Company, the Navy’s Trident
missile prime contractor. “These suc-
cessful missile tests demonstrate the
readiness and reliability of the entire
Trident II D5 Strategic Weapon Sys-
tem and the unflagging commitment
to excellence of the full Navy and in-
dustry team.”
The Navy launched the missiles as
part of a Follow-on Commander’s
Evaluation Test. The Navy conducts a
continuing series of operational sys-
tem evaluation tests to assure the
safety, reliability, readiness and per-
formance of the Trident II D5 Strategic
Weapon System, as required by the
Department of Defense’s National
Command Authority. The Navy con-
ducts the tests under the testing
guidelines of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Each missile was converted into a test
configuration using a test missile kit
produced by Lockheed Martin that
contains range safety devices and
flight telemetry instrumentation.
First deployed in 1990, the D5 missile
is currently aboard OHIO-class subma-
rines and British VANGUARD-class
submarines. The three-stage, solid-
propellant, inertial-guided ballistic
missile can travel a nominal range of
4,000 nautical miles and carries mul-
tiple independently targeted reentry
vehicles.
Lockheed Martin Space Systems Com-
pany, Sunnyvale, Calif., has been the
strategic missile prime contractor for
the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Pro-
grams since the inception of the Fleet
Ballistic Missile program more than
50 years ago. Lockheed Martin Space
Systems employees, principally in
California, Georgia, Florida, Washing-
ton, Utah and Virginia, support the
design, development, production, test,
and operation and sustainment of the
Trident Strategic Weapon System.
PRESS RELEASE
THAAD Weapon System Achieves
Lowest Endo Intercept to Date, Main-
tains 100% Success Rate
DALLAS, TX, June 29th, 2010 -- The
Missile Defense Agency and Lockheed
Martin [NYSE:LMT] conducted a suc-
cessful flight test of the Terminal High
Altitude Area Defense (THAAD)
Weapon System today at the Pacific
Missile Range Facility on Kauai, HI.
This flight test was THAAD’s seventh
intercept to date and proved the sys-
tem’s ability to intercept a unitary tar-
get in the low endo-atmosphere.
There were many THAAD flight test
program “firsts” accomplished during
FTT-14, including the lowest endo–
atmospheric intercept to date; use of
fielded THAAD ground segment hard-
ware and software from the THAAD
production program; and the first live
mission to demonstrate automatic
engagement coordination between
THAAD and Patriot.
In addition to Patriot, the flight test
included participation by the C2BMC
element. The C2BMC reported situ-
ational awareness to combatant com-
mander displays monitoring the test.
Flight test objectives included demon-
strating the integration of the THAAD
Weapon System; intercepting the tar-
get at a highly stressing angle due to
the high pressure environment of the
endo-atmosphere; completing target
acquisition and aimpoint selection by
the interceptor’s seeker avionics flight
software; and operating the radar, fire
control and launcher by U.S. Army
soldiers during the mission.
“Today’s successful low endo inter-
cept further proves THAAD’s mission
flexibility and capability,” said Tom
McGrath, vice president and program
manager for THAAD at Lockheed Mar-
tin. “The weapon system’s success is
much to the credit of the U.S. Army
soldiers’ superior performance in exe-
cuting this mission and their dedica-
tion to 100 percent Mission Success.”
Since 2005, the program has com-
pleted 11 flight tests, with seven-for-
seven intercepts. THAAD is the only
missile defense system with the op-
erational flexibility to intercept in both
the endo- and exo-atmospheres to
provide versatile capability to the War-
fighter.
