God of life, we thank you for the gift of children—in the present and for the future.

God of life, teach us what it means to love our children.

Open our eyes to see them as you do—and move our hearts to nurture and cherish them with a love like yours.

God of life, teach us what it means to love our children.

May we see where they need to be protected…

… challenged…

… and released.

God of life, teach us what it means to love our children.

May we see where they need to be understood, sought out and listened to.

May we be quick to inspire, educate and encourage.

And where they are forgotten, feared or troubled, may we becourageous and constant in love and respect, so that we rebuild trust and a safe place for them to grow.
