Hello World! In 3 steps
1. Create a new macro
2. Type the code
3. Select IJ1 Macro language
4. But save it!
[File -> Save As…(“HelloWorld.ijm”)]

Semi-colon at the
end to indicate that
this function call
finishes hereFunction parameter: “Hello World!”

“Hello World!”Is a string, which is characters enclosed by quotation marks

A macro is a piece of code that can
be invoked independently
Macros can use multiple functions.
Functions are accessible inside the
macro.

Local and global variables
The global variable changes are preserved. Changes at the local variables
are lost out of context
