With an adult HIV prevalence rate of 11.5%, Mozambique is one of PEPFAR’s 15 priority countries. To date, Mozambique has re-ceived approximately $1.9 billion in PEP-FAR funding. These investments support evidence-based interventions in pursuit of an AIDS-free generation, including HIV testing and counseling, voluntary medical male circumcision, the provision of an-tiretroviral treatment, clinical and commu-nity-based care for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), and more.
