identified as government strategic priorities on December 10, 2002.
• Security and Emergencies Initiative (SEI) established to provide an integrated approach to all related (10) business lines.
• SEI links Security Policy, Emergency Planning, Emergency Public Information, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Hazmat, CBRNE, MCI, Nuclear Security and Preparedness
Business Requirements (1)
• Institute a system to manage spatial information.
• Institute a system to alert the public about public safety threats.
• Institute a system to notify owners of critical infrastructure about security threats.

• Improve systems used to notify and activate emergency organizations and officials.
• Improve systems used to manage information concerning critical infrastructure, hazardous material and related response plans.
