TANYA HOLLAND

CLAUDIA SANDOVAL

Acclaimed for her inventive take on modern soul food, as well as comfort classics, Tanya Holland is the Executive Chef/Owner of the internationally renowned and beloved Brown Sugar Kitchen in San Francisco. The author of The Brown Sugar Kitchen Cookbook and New Soul Cooking, Holland competed on the 15th season of Top Chef on Bravo, and was the host and soul food expert on Food Network’s Melting Pot. Writer and Chef to the James Beard Foundation, has received multiple Michelin Bib Gourmand awards. She is an in-demand public speaker and lecturer who frequently leads the conversation on inclusion and equity in the hospitality industry.

Claudia Sandoval was born and raised in San Diego, California, to a family originally from Mazatlán, Sinaloa. She grew up with her mother and grandmother, who taught her how to cook from a very young age. In 2015, Chef Claudia became the first and only Latina to have ever won MasterChef U.S. She then began a successful culinary and catering company named Claudia’s Cocina and published a bestselling cookbook called Claudia’s Cocina: A Taste of Mexico. Chef Claudia is now a Judge on Telemundo’s MasterChef Latino. With a passion for philanthropic causes, Ms. Sandoval has helped raise over $450K for organizations effecting change across the nation.

KIM ALTERKim Alter is the Chef and Owner of Nightbird and adjoining Linden Room, marking her first solo project in San Francisco. Ms. Alter worked at the helm of kitchens such as Haven and Plum in Oakland, California. Prior to that, she has worked in some of the Bay area’s most notable restaurant kitchens including Manresa, Ubuntu, Aqua, and Acquerello. Alter’s menus showcase a commitment to technique, whole animal cookery, and support of local farms. Her food often takes familiar dishes to new places with creative spins on classics and earned a James Beard nomination in 2018 for Sustainable Chef of the year.

PIA QUINTANAShe is a Mexican chef passionate about culinary culture with more than 20 years of experience that has transformed her love for Mexican cuisine into a way of life. Ms. Quintana’s cuisine reflects her creative, passionate, simple, honest, healthy and unpretentious personality. At the same time, her cuisine is daring, it is fire and also movement, where the ingredient is the protagonist in each of her dishes. Recognized as one of the best chefs in Mexico, her experience encompasses an extensive list of restaurants and countries such as the United States, Spain and France. In 2015 she opened her own restaurant; La Lupita Tacos y Mezcal, a must visit whenever in Los Cabos.
