March 6, 2014 Dear PBPS Members, Exhibitor Participants & Guests, Welcome to our largest most ambitious healthcare event ever, “Our Community Weighs in on Children's Health Wellness and Pediatric Obesity”. We appreciate your participation. You are part of the more than 250 people working together to make this event successful. We are a volunteer run non-profit organization of pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners, pediatric dentists, and pediatric sub-specialists in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties in South Florida. Our society’s mission is to provide a forum for these professions to be able to come together to share experiences, network and learn about various services, products and new information to provide the best medical practices in pediatric care. Our primary interest is the health and advocacy of children. We want to thank all of our exhibitors and meeting participants in helping further this mission. We are very fortunate and appreciative to have a nationally recognized expert on the topic of Pediatric Obesity as our keynote speaker. Sandra Hassink, MD., President-elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics will give the lecture titled, “A Community Approach to Pediatric Obesity”.

The Children’s Health & Wellness Fair of Medical Resources & Ancillary Services includes 50 organizations showcasing their products and services to pediatric healthcare providers. This is our first fair of this magnitude. It is an endeavor we will hope to repeat every 3 to 5 years depending on the feedback we receive from all our participants. This event would not have been possible without the financial support of our exhibitors they have helped make this event a reality since our society has subsidized a large portion of the overall event and part of each attendees registration fee. I also want to thank our volunteers who have donated countless hours to this event, they include; Ivy Faske, M.D., Marsha Fishbane, M.D., Cynthia Clayton, M.D. Amy Geraci, Lauren Scopp and Susie Graham. We hope you will thank each exhibitor for making this event possible! Please network with your peers and colleagues to learn about many wonderful services and products that are available in our community and completely enjoy our program. We appreciate everyone working together in advocating for the health and wellness of the children in our community. Sincerely, Shannon Fox-Levine, M.D. 2014 Palm Beach Pediatric Society President
