Hope

Page 3: A Collection Of Poems

Lend me your wings, I cry to the birds,

So that I may fly away.

Page 4: A Collection Of Poems

Lend me your roots, I cry to the trees,

So that I may hold to my ways.

Lend me your waves, I cry to the deep,So that I may learn to change.

Page 5: A Collection Of Poems

Lend me your hope, I cry to the leaves,So that I may find Spring always.

To Dusty

Page 7: A Collection Of Poems

The stars themselves were a source of pain,

Page 8: A Collection Of Poems

And I tried to run from the coming rain.

Page 9: A Collection Of Poems

World upside-down, I fell into the sky, pierced by those needle points, pierced by

my lies.

Page 10: A Collection Of Poems

Righted again, I fell into your arms, but I didn't know you could save me from harm. But even though I'm filth, my innocence gone, that was the night, you are my dawn.

Page 11: A Collection Of Poems

Those needles in the sky don't pierce anymore, the wind isn't cold, the rain now pours. My world is spinning; I'm lost in a dream, you heal my soul when I long to scream.

Page 12: A Collection Of Poems

Now the stars themselves aren't a source of pain, you're with me in the healing rain.

An argument leaves me glaring,

too stubborn to forgive.I’ve turned away from you,My one reason to live.

Your eyes search for me,Seeking some small hope,You search for green fields,Hiding in the smoke.

Soft

Page 14: A Collection Of Poems

I won’t forgive you!Can’t you see my pride?I can’t forgive you!Yet I need you by my

side.

The ground is so inviting,I greet it, and my tears. Is this really my fate,To hate all of my years?Yet you lift me from the

ground,A small broken doll. You’ve found the green

fieldsFrom which my tears fall.

Deep in my childhood’s hour,A spider invaded my space. My small plastic playhouse,His, by that yellow-striped face.

The odor of the grass, and that of the creek,Was not interrupted by fear. The chirping of birds, the wind’s whisper,All of it, I could still hear.I found slime-skinned insects,Throwing them in his web.He happily wrapped his mealAs I wiped the guilt from my head. You may think me mad,In need of the electric chair. But pity not the prey,Even demons need some care.

Invasion

Page 16: A Collection Of Poems

Carrying a puzzle-piece purseIs like carrying your heart in your hands.Inviting others to poke fun,Injuring your pride as they can.But my aunt and I will carry them proud,Not caring what you have to say. We’ll wander around looking odd,Yet laughing throughout the day.

Oddities

Page 17: A Collection Of Poems

Water droplets catch in your hair,Those cobwebbed curls. When I’m caught in a snare,In your arms lies my world.I’ve never seen such a loving gazeFrom another human being. When you lift me from a haze,I can’t believe what I am seeing.Under this waterfall,I can sing without restraint. In this music hall,I shall never feel faint.

Your mint-scented shampooIs soothing to the senses,Yet you’re the only one whoCan put me in trances. The water grows cold,You face me and say:“This house is so old,Guess that’s all for today.”
