What is Chinese Destiny Stars Astrology?
At Chinese New Year you hear about the animal sign that is
going to rule the year ahead. Babies born in that year are said to
be born under that animal sign. Personality and luck are
influenced by the energies of the year animal sign.
There are a total of twelve
different animal signs. Year
Animal Astrology is a simple
form of Chinese Astrology
based on a cycle of twelve
years.
The same cycle of twelve
animals also rule months, days
and double hours (the twenty
four hours in the day are
divided into units of two hours).
The twelve animals are
pseudonyms for the twelve
earthly branches, and time is measured with the twelve earthly
branches together with the ten heavenly stems.
3
There is far more to Chinese
Astrology than your year
animal sign. The heavenly
stems and earthly branches
form a cycle of sixty pillars. A
pillar is a unit of time written
vertically, with the name of the
heavenly stem above the
name of the earthly branch.
When a baby is born you can write out the date and time of birth
as four pillars: a year pillar, month pillar, day pillar and hour pillar.
These four pillars become part of a chart for the method of
Chinese Astrology known as the Four Pillars of Destiny. The
Four Pillars gives you a far more personalized picture of your
innate characteristics and luck than your animal sign. An
experienced astrologer can analyze and interpret the Four Pillars
chart to give a life reading. Learning the art of life readings using
the Four Pillars is complex, and it can take years of practice to
become highly competent.
There is the simple Year Animal Astrology and there is the rather
more sophisticated Four Pillars of Destiny. The question
remains, what is Chinese Destiny Stars Astrology?
Chinese Destiny Stars Astrology is another name for the Master
Ghost Valley system of life reading. We have translated the
4
ancient Chinese poetry classic known as "Ghost Valley Art of Life
Reading" (鬼谷子算命術 Gui Gu Zi Suan Ming Shu) into English
and packaged it into a brand new app launching soon.
With Chinese Destiny Stars Astrology
(“Destiny Stars”) you do not need to study a
Four Pillars chart in detail in order to obtain
a life reading. You still plot the Four Pillars,
and you can use our free Four Pillars
Calculator included in the app to do that
quickly and accurately. Our Four Pillars
Calculator is a little different from the other
Four Pillars calculators in that it is
programmed with the Master Ghost Valley
system. This means as well as working out a Four Pillars chart
and accompanying luck pillars, the Four Pillars calculator also
finds your Destiny Numeral and Stars.
In Year Animal Astrology your luck is influenced by one animal
sign. You could say it is quite general as it predicts that everyone
born in the same year will have the same luck at the same time.
In the Four Pillars Astrology you get a far more personalized
reading because the influences of the year, month, day and hour
are studied, but you need to know how to interpret a Four Pillars
chart, or consult an astrologer to read your chart.
5
The life readings in Chinese Destiny Stars Astrology are ‘done
for you’ readings. There is no need to analyze all the intricacies
of the Four Pillars, yet you get a more individual reading than you
would from one of the twelve animal signs.
With Chinese Destiny Stars
Astrology you have a poetic life
reading from:
A Year Star (free in the app)
A Numeral (in-app purchase)
An Hour Star (included in the in-
app purchase for the Numeral)
Not only were you born under the
auspices of a year animal sign, you have two stars shining on
your life and a Numeral predicting your fate and fortune.
You can get your brief Year Star reading for free in the app.
If you want to know more about what Master Ghost Valley says
about your luck you can purchase the full life readings from within
the app.
6
You can even input birth information of famous people to see
what sort of luck your favorite celebrities will be facing.
In this little ebook, we are going to take a quick look at the year
stars for some celebrities.
You can find your own year star for free when you download the
Chinese Destiny Stars Astrology App onto your smartphone,
ipad or tablet. To make sure you get the app as soon as it is
available, we invite you to put your name on the guest list to get
notified of the launch:

Prince William (June 21, 1982) was born in the year of the
Water Dog. What is more
interesting is that his year
star is the Heavenly
Chronology Star.
The Heavenly Chronology
Star has a metaphor for
Prince William’s life:
“Phoenix going out to meet
companion”. What does
that mean? An explanation is
included under the metaphor
carried by each of the year stars in the Master Ghost Valley
system. The meaning of “Phoenix going out to meet companion”
is that the person’s career depends on the help from the spouse.
Do you think that is a fitting description of Prince William’s luck?
That’s just from the year star. There is more from his Destiny
Numeral and hour star. 1

Mark Zuckerberg
(May 14, 1984) was
born under the
auspices of Chinese
year animal sign of
the Water Rat.
The Heavenly Noble
Star was shining on
all the babies born in
the Water Rat Year.
What sort of luck
does the Heavenly
Noble Star bring?
The answer is “Fast
wind, fast rain”,
which is a metaphor for being lucky and having helpful
benefactors.
The year star is only one part of the Master Ghost Valley system.
Are you curious about what else the Destiny Numeral and hour
star might reveal for Mark2?

Those were two lucky young men. What about the ladies?
Taylor Swift
(December 13, 1989)
was born in a year
which was ruled by
the Heavenly Gloomy
Star.
Is this a fortunate star
to be born under? The
name does not sound
too promising, but this
star tells those who
born in 1989 to
“Cherish your great
talents regardless of
what goes on in the world”. Is that a message for Taylor?
There are more messages from the Destiny Numeral and hour
star for Taylor3 and for everyone who wants to consult the Master
Ghost Valley system.

A lot of the stars have star names beginning with Heavenly, but
stars in the Destiny Stars are not actual stars in the sky. It is still
a bit of a mystery as to how Master Ghost Valley came up with
the star names and with his system of astrology which has a set
of ‘done for you’ life readings.
To prove our point that not
all the star names begin
with the word Heavenly,
there is the Purple Qi
Star. Who has the luck of
the Purple Qi Star?
Anyone born in the
Chinese solar year of
1986 (February 4th 1986-
February 3rd 1987) will be
under the influence of the
Purple Qi Star and that
includes Lady Gaga4
(March 28, 1986).
“Toasting the Moon” is
the metaphor of the
Purple Qi Star. What does
this metaphor mean? It
means that in your prime years you have everything you want
and in retirement you can enjoy doing nothing. Sounds like the
Purple Qi star can bring a lot of luck. In the full life readings,
which are found under the Destiny Numerals, a person’s luck is
described in a set of luck verses which talk about career,
marriage and children as well as retirement and later years.

The celebrities we have looked at so far were all born in the
1980’s, what about those celebrities who have been famous for
a long time?
Prince Charles5 (November 14, 1948) has
the Heavenly Noble Star shining on his life.
Haven’t we already had the Heavenly
Noble Star? Mark Zuckerberg born in 1984
has the Heavenly Noble Star, but this
Heavenly Noble Star has the same name,
but a different reading. The Heavenly
Noble Star for those born in 1948 carries
the metaphor “Cool breeze under the
moon”, which sounds rather agreeable and
means that the person has a comfortable lifestyle and can go
through life without any worries. One of the fascinating things
about the Destiny Stars is that the same star name can give
different readings for different birth years. Why is that? If we had
a time machine and could travel back to around over two
thousand years to the period, 475BC to 221BC, we might see if
we can visit the place in China known as Ghost Valley to find the
sage who was known as Master Ghost Valley and ask him.
It is a bit of a mystery as to why the Heavenly Noble Star as a
year star for 1948 has a different metaphor to the Heavenly
Noble Star for 1984. Maybe you can spot a pattern if you were
to look at all the Destiny Stars and Destiny Numerals?

Oprah Winfrey (January 29, 1954) was born in a Water Snake
year. The Chinese solar year starts on or around February 4th
each year, but the celebrations for Chinese New Year take place
at the start of the lunar year.
Oprah was born under the Heavenly
Responsive Star. What does that star
say about Oprah’s life? The year star for
Oprah says “You stand up and show
your ability and everybody will
listen”. That just about sums it up.
Wonder how the Destiny Numeral and
hour star will fill in some more details?
You will need to find the Destiny Numeral
for Oprah6 then read the luck verses to
find out.
You don’t have to think about how to
work out the Destiny Numerals. The free
Four Pillars Calculator in the app will
work it out for you when you input a date and
time of birth.
