Ramon Kotovsky, Joe's son in Department 1A, has seen action in both theaters of war. He was home on a short leave a while ago and told of seeing action in Europe. He is now somewhere in the Pacific--on the way to Japan. Following is a poem written by Ramon's mother in honor of her son:

Goodnight my son, wherever you are, on land, or sea or shores afar,

May the Lord watch over you during this night and bring dreams that are free from worry and fright.

May the dawn soon appearwhen we hear each one cheer.

The world conflict's most over and peace is so near.Goodnight my Son Goodnight.

With Love, Mother
