A-BUS Multi-Room Expansion Pack

All you’ll need to add to your existing Hi-Fi system is a HUB, a module and a pair of speakers in each room.
is the starting point for A-BUS. It can be as easy as one simple connection.
All cabling between the A-BUS/READY amplifier/interface module, distribution hubs and power modules should be category 5 cable or better. The recommended maximum cable run is 100 feet (30M). Speaker wire should be run from the power module point to the speaker points; however, it is recommended that the category 5 be extended to the speaker points as well to allow for the installation of an A-BUS/DIRECT speaker system which has the power module incorporated in the speaker. A-BUS power modules will accept up to14 gauge cable. It is recommended to extend the category 5 cable past the power modules to the speaker points for future requirements. It is recommended that all category 5 cables at the hub end be terminated with wall mounted RJ-45 sockets with standard (568A) patch leads between the wall socket and the hub.Before installing the category 5 cables check for Local Input Module requirements, eg. in the case of a local TV, the CAT5 cable should be run past the room's antenna connection point. A 12" taped loop of cable for access is recommended. The same could be applied to a point in a child's room next to a desk where a computer or MP3 player may be located. IMPORTANT: These instructions contain directions for installers of A-BUS systems. The manufacturer or its agents shall not be liable to any person or entity for loss or damage, including consequential loss or damage, arising out of any error or fault in the installation of the A-BUS system or any of its compo-nent parts.

Pre-Wiring:
transmits audio, power and infrared data via single cables to modules located in each room. In audiophile amplifiers, the quality of the power supply is critical to sound performance, and an A-BUS HUB can be selected to suit your tastes.
Hub
are built into the wall switch or concealed behind the speaker. They amplify the sound and deliver it directly to the speakers. A simple dial or touch button controls volume and can turn music on or off.
Modules in each room
located in-wall or in-ceiling, can deliver ‘audiophile’ sound quality to each room.
Speakers
• Pre-wire star pattern from distribution point to each module location. • Label each cable with destination name.• One RJ-45 socket per Module at distribution point.
• Terminate the DL-8 cable following the colour-code as per the T568A standard.
• N.B. LeisureTech recommends using a Certified A-BUS Installer for all installation work.

• Run A-BUS approved “Low Loss” speaker cable from module location to speaker locations.• If using Andrew’s Audio SP-250, pull two runs, one to each speaker.
• Terminate Low- Loss Speaker cable to screw terminals.• Do not attach module to wall until final system test.

• Connect the Audio Input to the RCA Input on your A-BUS Hub.• The audio input will come from:- CD or Tuner audio out- Zone 2 out or Tape-out from AV receiver

• The outputs of the A-BUS Hub are then connected via patch leads terminated with RJ-45 jacks (to T568A) to the relative sockets on the distribution wallplate.
Once all other connections are made, the power supply can be connected to the A-BUS Hub.

A final check of the A-BUS Module should be carried out, including the setting of the input levels on the back of the Module, before it is screwed onto the wall.
