As good as conventions installed by Toastmasters are, no doubt, we mustn't allow ourselves to rest on legacy. We must always pursue greatness that is beyond our thoughts; try new ideas, test new methods and eventually, set new benchmarks. To this end, Elan Toastmasters had launched various initiatives. Some of them are listed here:

Toastmaster of the Day(TMoD) is an emcee to the meet. Its upon TMoD to warm up audience, keep the meeting coherent and conduct it smoothly. In the contest, TMoD is judged by audience on the criteria of Creativity, Take-Home Lessons and Flow of the Meet. The winners for TMoD Contest are:

The mark of an able Communicator is he's not only good at articulation but also keenly aware of the world around him. That requires a lot of reading, and that requires easy access to lot of reading material. Veteran Toastmaster and bibliophile Gopinath Garapati did just that. He brought forth a remarkably simple and effective initiative- you bring a book from your home, you take another book to your home and together we strive towards increasing each other's knowledge.
