Battery Electronics
Hot-swappable electronics and battery modules
Replacement of electronics or battery module is simple, hot-swappable and user-replaceable. Accessing modules through the front panel, users can safely install new modules without ever powering down connected server and server options. Electronics module weight 30 lb, 14 kg. Battery module weight 42 lb, 19 kg.
Compact 2U design
P33 UPS

Limiting the height to 2U saves room for other critical equipment such as servers and disk arrays. EBM is 2U. Up to four EBMs can be added per IBM rack to prolong runtime.
What is it?An intelligent battery-charging technology
Increases battery service life by charging only when neededOptimizes recharge timeIntelligent microprocessor controlled for most accurate advanced failure protectionSleep feature- no unnecessary drain
How it Works:ABM uses a 3-stage charging system:1. The battery is quickly charged to 90% to make
sure the UPS is prepared for the next power outage
2. Second, ABM finishes charging the battery with a more moderate float charge
3. Then, ABM turns the charger off- this prevents the batteries from being overcharged
With ABM the service life of the batteries is significantly increased so customers won’t have to replace them as often as with competitive models

P33 out-of-box usability
9910 philosophy of a complete package*UPS, power & communication cables, software, mounting hardware and manualsBundled Multi-Server card provides communication with up to three servers
Easy-to-configure and start-upPick the same input power cord as for rack Rack devices connect to P33 using rack interconnect cords (RICs) and rack power distribution bus (PDB)
*P33 package includes: Accessory kit with three IEC-320-C13 to IEC-320-C14 power cords 6 ft (1.8m), three UPS to server communication cables 6 ft (1.8m) and manuals; 4-post rack mounting kit; and, based upon country or application, power cable kit (IBM FC 9851 or 9855).
P33 supports up to 15 devices
15 outlet (receptacle) power connectionsP33 has 9 outletsRack PDB has 6 outlets
Examples of configurations supported• 7015-R50 720 Watts with 2 power connections• 7026-B80 (640) 450 W with 2 power connections• 7026-HA-B80 (640) 1860 W with 10 power connections 7026-H80,
6Hx (660) 965 W with 4 power connections• 7026-HA-H80, 6Hx (660) 2410 W with 10 power connections• 7026-M80 1065 W with 4 power connections• 7046-B50^ (15 ea) 2100 W with 15 power connections
*Maximum: 15 devices each with one power connection; or, 7 devices each with two power connections (non- or dual-redundant). Number of devices support limited to P33 2700 Watt capacity. ^FC 2932 connects P33 as a node in a SNMP network, capable of managing multiple servers.
Extended Battery Module optionThe EBM option allows you to prolong battery runtime to accommodate application or business needs. Features include
•Hot-swappable, user-replaceable modules utilize same type module as P33 -- simplifying service•Identical 2U foot print as P33 •Factory install or option to field upgrade •IBM rack accommodates up to four EBMs and two P33s •Add up to four EBMs per P33
