In the example for a design flowrate of 2m3/h and design ∆p 15kPa handwheel position of 2,9 is
determined for a DN25 valve
By using diagram above is possible toesteem the presetting position of the valvewith given design flowrate and headloss:
draw a straight line joining design flowrateand design headloss;determine design Kv value as intersectionof drawn line and Kv axis;draw a straight horizontal line fromintersection previously identified and thespecific valve DN Axis;intersection determines handwheel position to use for presetting.
