CAAHEP pass rates for the SBB exam for six out of the past ten years have been greater than 80% and all were 70% or higher.

Pass rates for the BB exam have been variable, but in seven out of 10 years, were greater than 50%.

At least for the past several years, the number of examinees has shown some increase.

ASCP certification awarded beginning in the year shown in the chart below and thereafter, and if the individual has maintained their certification through NCA or completion of CMP, the individual must use the initials “CM” in superscript after his/her certification.
