2014 KALLESKE EDUARD SHIRAZ 94 Points “Old vine shiraz out of Barossa. Two years in hogsheads. There’s a fair bit crashing about in this wine. It lives and breathes. Asphalt, crushed ants, truffles, cakey blackberry, chocolate and milk coffee. It creaks with tannin and motors with dark, brooding flavour. Plenty of depth but plenty of reach too. The longer it breathes, the more the tannin asserts itself. Serious style. Old school with a flash of new. Essence of Barossa but by its own design”.
