Status of Agreements (1)

• The total value of agreements concluded from 26 May 2005 to 31 March 2008 is EUR 1.3 M;

• From 1 July 2007 to 20 March 2008 there have been 22 agreements signed;

• Currently, 12 agreements are being implemented;

• Two draft agreements are being prepared.

Agreement status (2)

Agreements signed in 2007 to increase the efficiency of supervision of project implementation:

• Expert services for carrying out on-the-spot checks for Cohesion Fund projects;

• Provision of expert services for supervision of the project for development and implementation of management information system;

4. Improvement of the Human Resources Development Plan of the CF Managing Authority;

5. Organising trainings, seminars (training course for internal auditors, international audit standards, advanced study of audit, accounting, team-building and internal communication, conversational English, etc.).

Agreements signed/completed in 2007 for solving horizontal problems:

• Evaluation of process management and development and implementation of risk management system for the Cohesion Fund in the Ministry of Finance

• Analysis of the risk of double co-financing from the public funding - review of legal acts;

4. Analysis of provision and efficiency of EU Funds administration functions in the Ministry of Finance (functional audit)

5. A service for modelling support ratio for the Cohesion Fund project "Development of water supply and sewage services in Riga”.

1. Consultant services for determining the contractor of CHP plant in a project co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund

2. Expert services for carrying out on-the-spot checks for CF projects

3. Re-calculation of cost-benefit analysis for Cohesion Fund projects

4. Elaboration of a mobility plan for Riga City and Greater Riga area
