FESTIVAL OF TREES

2020

Procedures for protection from COVID-19

This year we’ll be observing the following practices during Festival of Trees setup times and during public viewing hours:

WHAT WE’RE DOING Patrons will all enter building through the double doors at the front, unless they need handicap accessibility.

Signage will instruct people to assess their viral risk, to wear face coverings, to keep their distance from one

another, and to sanitize hands.

There will be two touch-free hand sanitizing stations, one at the building entrance, and one at the auditorium

entrance.

Mouth/nose coverings will be required of everyone at all times, with the exception of taking sips of beverages.

The auditorium space will have two large-capacity HEPA air purifiers running before and during open hours.

All counters, door knobs, etc. will be sanitized at least every two hours.

Restrooms will be locked and unavailable.

The auditorium space will be sanitized 30 minutes prior to public viewing with a 5-micron fogger/atomizer

distributing hospital-grade disinfectant.

REQUIREMENTS for tree donors during setup:

Increase hygiene practices, including: a) Wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently b) Avoid touching the face, eyes or mouth c) Practice good respiratory etiquette. This includes coughing and sneezing into a tissue or your elbow rather than

into your hands.

Wear a cloth face covering: Donors will wear a cloth face covering to help protect against the spread of the virus.

Practice social distancing: To the greatest extent possible, all donors should maintain safe social distancing, which means keeping a distance of at least 6 or more feet between one another at all times.

REQUIREMENTS for patrons: Signs will be posted asking patrons to maintain a 6-foot distance from other parties and stating that masks are required at all times.

Separate and clearly designated entrances and exits will facilitate physical distancing between arriving/exiting patrons. Patrons will enter the lobby through the double doors, unless they need the accessible entrance on Memorial Street. Patrons will exit through the side entrance on Memorial Street.

Alcohol-based hand sanitizer will be readily available at the entrance to the building and within the auditorium, and patrons will be asked to practice hand hygiene upon arrival to the facility and as they enter the auditorium.
