Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ر� ��ف"ج و"ال
[89:1] I swear by the daybreak,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ر% �ع"ش "ال% "ي و"ل
[89:2] And the ten nights,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
�ر� �و"ت و"ال ف�ع� و"الش�
[89:3] And the even and the odd,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ر� �"س ي �ذ"ا إ �ل� �ي و"الل
[89:4] And the night when it departs.
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ر% �ح�ج 3ذ�ي ل م4 ق"س" �ك" ذ"ل ف�ي � ه"ل
[89:5] Truly in that there is an oath for those who possess understanding.

�ع"اد% ب >ك" ب ر" ف"ع"ل" �ف" "ي ك "ر" ت �"م "ل أ
[89:6] Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
�ع�م"اد� ال ذ"ات� م" �ر" إ
[89:7] (The people of) Aram, possessors of lofty buildings,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
د� �ال" �ب ال ف�ي Fه"ا �ل م�ث �ل"ق �Fخ ي �"م ل �ي �ت ال
[89:8] The like of which were not created in the (other) cities;
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
�و"اد� �ال ب الص�خ�ر" Fوا اب ج" �ذ�ين" ال "مFود" و"ث
[89:9] And (with) Thamud, who hewed out the rocks in the valley,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
"اد� و�ت" �األ ذ�ي ع"و�ن" � و"ف�ر
[89:10] And (with) Firon, the lord of hosts,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
د� �ال" �ب ال ف�ي ط"غ"و�ا �ذ�ين" ال
[89:11] Who committed inordinacy in the cities,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
اد" �ف"س" ال ف�يه"ا وا Fر" �ث ك" ف"أ
[89:12] So they made great mischief therein?
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ع"ذ"اب% و�ط" س" >ك" ب ر" ��ه�م "ي ع"ل ف"ص"ب�
[89:13] Therefore your Lord let down upon them a portion of the chastisement.
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ص"اد� ��م�ر �ال "ب ل �ك" ب ر" �ن� إ
[89:14] Most surely your Lord is watching.

Fه< ب ر" Fه "ال" �ت اب م"ا �ذ"ا إ Fان �نس" �اإل م�ا" ف"أ
م"ن� �ر" ك" أ 3ي ب ر" FولFق" ف"ي Fع�م"ه" و"ن Fم"ه �ر" ك

[89:15] And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead an
easy life, he says: My Lord honors me.

Fق"ه �ر�ز �ه� "ي ع"ل ف"ق"د"ر" Fه "ال" �ت اب م"ا �ذ"ا إ م�ا" و"أ
"ن� "ه"ان أ 3ي ب ر" FولFق" ف"ي
[89:16] But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says:
My Lord has disgraced me.

�يم" "ت �ي ال �ر�مFون" Fك ت ال� "ل ب "ال� ك
[89:17] Nay! but you do not honor the orphan,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ك�ين� ��م�س ال � ط"ع"ام ع"ل"ى "ح"اض>ون" ت و"ال"
[89:18] Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
�مdا ل eال� "ك أ اث" >ر" الت FلFون" �ك "أ و"ت
[89:19] And you eat away the heritage, devouring (everything) indiscriminately,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ج"مdا dا ب Fح �م"ال" ال >ون" ب Fح� و"ت
[89:20] And you love wealth with exceeding love.
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
dا د"ك dا د"ك Fض�ر" �األ �ت� دFك �ذ"ا إ "ال� ك
[89:21] Nay! when the earth is made to crumble to pieces,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
ص"فdا ص"فdا Fم"ل"ك� و"ال >ك" ب ر" و"ج"اء
[89:22] And your Lord comes and (also) the angels in ranks,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
Fر� "ذ"ك "ت ي �ذ% "و�م"ئ ي �م" �ج"ه"ن ب �ذ% "و�م"ئ ي و"ج�يء"�ر"ى الذ3ك Fه" ل �ى "ن و"أ Fان �نس" � اإل
[89:23] And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall
being mindful (then) avail him?
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
"ات�ي ي �ح" ل Fت�ق"د�م �ي "ن �ت "ي ل "ا ي FولFق" ي
[89:24] He shall say: O! would that I had sent before for (this) my life!
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
د4 "ح" أ Fه" ع"ذ"اب Fع"ذ3بF ي ال� �ذ% "و�م"ئ ف"ي
[89:25] But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
د4 "ح" أ Fاق"ه" و"ث Fق� Fوث ي و"ال"
[89:26] And no one shall bind with (anything like) His binding.
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
Fة� �ن �مFط�م"ئ ال Fس��ف الن Fه"ا �ت ي" أ "ا ي
[89:27] O soul that art at rest!
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
eة� ض�ي �م�ر eة" اض�ي ر" 3ك� ب ر" �ل"ى إ ج�ع�ي � ار
[89:28] Return to your Lord, well-pleased (with him), well-pleasing (Him),
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
"اد�ي ب ع� ف�ي ف"اد�خFل�ي
[89:29] So enter among My servants,
Surah al-Fajr (The Dawn)
�ت�ي ن ج" و"اد�خFل�ي
[89:30] And enter into My garden.
