Good afternoon, As the Director of the Camden, Maine chorus, I would like to reach out to you all and let you know that I am stepping down as director the end of this year; after a wonderful 13 years of being a director/associate member and part of the Windjammer Chorus. The Chorus is very interested in finding a new director who will at least maintain the level they are at singingwise, but to also raise the platform as they move to grow the chorus with a strong membership drive this year and strive to sing at a higher level. The Windjammers are 15-17 men strong who are not interested in competing, but rather to serve the community well with singouts in various venues and events. They are a very strong, committed group who love the comraderie of being a barbershopper, but also work very hard to sing the best they can. We have a lot of fun at rehearsals but also pay attention to business, a good mix. There is a very active Board who meet regularly each month and work well with the Director. There is a weekly fee paid as well as mileage expenses. The Director may also attend the Leadership Academy or Harmony College at the chorus' expense. They are very supportive in all efforts any director takes to better themselves and therefore the chorus to benefit from that. If you are interested in moving to midcoast Maine and possibly becoming the next Director of the Midcoast Maine chapter, please contact President Ted Kanellakis at 207-236-0275. Thank you, Ted Kanellakis, President Kathy Chamberlain - Robitaille, Director Northeastern District 2012 Fall District
