“We beheld the Angel, holding a chalice in his le hand with the Host suspended above it, from which some drops of blood fell into the chalice. Leaving the (Host and) chalice sus-pended in the air, the Angel lay prostrate on the ground be-side us and made us repeat three mes:”

“Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity

of the same Son, Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all

the sacrileges, outrages,

and indifference by which He Himself is offended. And through the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart,

and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conver-sion of poor sinners.”- The Angel of Fama

4th Sunday of Lent “Not as man sees does God see, because man sees the appear-ance but the Lord looks into the heart.” 1Samuel 16:7 How oen do we invest our me, talent and treasure in creang an appearance that does not maer at all to God? We strive to impress with our clothing, home, career, possessions, car and other marks of disncon. But none of these illusions of great-ness will impress God. Instead, He will look into our hearts to see how much we loved Him, how much we loved others and how we showed that love by the way we used our me, talents and treasure here on earth.

Plenary Indulgence FATIMA, Portugal

Our Lady of Fama

For the 100th anniversary of the apparions of Our Lady of Fama in Portugal, Pope Francis has decided to grant a plena-ry indulgence opportunity throughout the enre anniversary year, which began November 27, 2016, and will end Novem-ber 26, 2017. To obtain the plenary indulgence, the faithful must also fulfill the ordinary condions:

Go to confession and Communion, be interiorly detached from sin,

and pray for the Holy Father.

Those seeking an indulgence must also pray an Our Father, recite the Creed, and invoke Our Lady of Fama. These indi-viduals can pray in front of a statue of Our Lady of Fama and must spiritually unite themselves to the jubilee celebraons on the days of the apparions, the 13th of each month, be-tween May and October 2017. They also must “offer to mer-ciful God with confidence, through Mary, their prayers and sufferings or sacrifices they make in their own lives”.

St. Ambrose School Corner

First Grade is so excited that Spring has finally arrived! We have seen our first Spring robins, and we are enjoying checking in with our fa-mous eaglet E9 from the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam. We have watched E9 grow from the lile hatchling who entered the world on New Year's Eve to a big, handsome bird who is now as huge as his par-ents. We have learned many things about eagles as we have watched E9 grow. This will help us as we prepare our science projects. Each of us has selected an animal to give a report on, and we are using all kinds of resources to compile informaon about our chosen animal.

Meanwhile, a parcular highlight of the last month was the visit from our Bishop Checchio who watched us sing and sign the Our Father for him. It was an honor and a thrill.

We are also taking care of two plants for our S.T.E.M. project: a Yucca Cane and an Arboricola. We are having fun learning what these plants need to live.

In math we have actually started doing some algebra, and in reading we are devouring fantasy ficon and instruconal nonficon. Partly because of our exposure to so much diverse reading material, our own story wring gets more and more creave and descripve every day!

In sum, it's been a wonderful me in First Grade and we are very much looking forward to the home stretch!

CHILDREN’S MASS

Next Sunday, April 2, 2017 the Children's Mass will be celebrated at the 9 am Mass. It will be the 5th Sunday of Lent and Jesus tells us "I am the Resurrecon and the Life". Come to the Children's Mass and listen to the Word of God.
