And by intentionally removing the highly susceptible cement paste during the exposure process, a colorful, slip resistant and extraordinarily durable surface is revealed.

Can Diamond Brite help where slippery areas in the pool are a concern? Yes! Diamond Brite is the perfect solution and ideal surface for slippery areas, such as steps, beach entries, and swim-outs.

Will the surface be comfortable? Yes! SGM selects high-quality quartz aggregates that are smaller than pebble surfaces, resulting in a textured surface that is non-abrasive and comfortable to bather’s feet.

Does cleaning damage the Diamond Brite? Absolutely not. Diamond Brite will stand up to the harshest pool environments and can be cleaned by acid washing several times throughout it’s lifespan without sustaining permanent damage.

What happens if algae grows? Diamond Brite’s quartz aggregate is completely insoluble and non-porous. This prevents the algae from bonding with the Diamond Brite finish and can be easily cleaned without any damage.

What color can I expect my pool to look like?Actual colors are as accurate as modern printing can produce, however it is suggested that you select your color from a sample chip. Water color can vary from pool to pool, depending on water depth, lighting conditions and surrounding environments. Additionally, the accent colors in Diamond Brite give the surface a multi-colored appearance masking slight imperfections that are readily apparent in traditional pool finishes. These variations create a natural kaleidoscopic effect, which is considered to be a normal aspect of the Diamond Brite finish. it is always best to discuss color outcome with your landscape architect and / or builder.

How is Diamond Brite different than other pool finishes? The polymer modification of Diamond Brite’s cement increases hardness, improves bonding, reduces water penetration and resists chemical attack by aggressive pool water. All this adds up to a beautiful yet durable pool finish.
