Job: the principal activity in your life that you do to earn money
Career: the work you will do to earn a living
over a period of years
Career planning: define your lifestyle goals, conduct self-assessment, identify possible career choices/gather info on each, evaluate
choices, make decision, plan how to reach your goals
Lifestyle goals: what type of lifestyle do you want? How do you want to spend your time,
energy, and money?
self-assessment: your values, interest, skills and aptitudes, personality, work environment
preferences, and relationship preferences.
Values: the beliefs that guide the way you live.
Interests: leisure activities, school activities, favorite classes, sports, and social activities
you enjoy doing.
Aptitudes: an ability or natural talent
