Course Description & Goal Objectives
This class will: Instruct students in a basic understanding of
music theory and technique, including: Sight-reading Rhythmic values Expressive devices
Afford students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice by performing a variety of repertoire on the keyboard
Grading/Homework Policy Students will be graded according to the following
weighted categories: Daily Participation = 40% of total grade Tests (written & performance) = 40% of total grade Keyboard Binder = 20% of total grade
Late Work: Late work will be accepted through the end of each unit. It is the students’ responsibility to bring each assignment to the teacher for grading/adjudication.

Come to class ready to learn and do your personal best!
