HOW ARE STUDENTS GRADED?

Daily Grades- 25% of total grade Homework- will be assigned most nights and

will be checked for a weekly homework grade. Homework is vital to being successful in learning mathematics.

Quizzes - will be given on a regular basis. They will be short, made up of about ten questions.

Projects will count as 2 quiz grades. Ten points will be deducted for each day the project is turned in late.

Classwork- Any work completed in class that is graded. Student must keep up with notes and bellwork to be turned in

chapter. Students will be given a studyguide the day

before each chapter test. We will complete the review in class and work

the problems together. Exams are at the end of each semester,

ATTENDANCE

Students are expected to attend class daily. Class time is valuable and instruction cannot be made up if it is missed. I encourage students to come to class everyday, if they are absent they are missing something in my class. Make-up work can only be done for excused absences.

MAKE-UP WORK

Students with excused absences must request make-up work upon arrival back to school then missed assignments must be turned in within 5 days of their return.

It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements with the instructor for any make-up work.

*No make-up work for UNEXCUSED absences.
