SpeakingSpeaking• What? A 4-6 minute group discussion with 3-4 group members

Prompt: You and your group will discuss and create a plan for a presentation that is intended for faculty members in the kinesiology program at a university. The faculty members in the kinesiology department want to create a new summer extreme sports course, so you will plan a presentation that proposes a new course on an extreme sport of your choosing.

In your video recording, you should: 1. Summarize and explain to each other what your group task is2. Discuss and reach consensus on which sports course you wish to propose3. Discuss what the different parts/components/sections of your

presentation will be4. Discuss what research steps each group member will take to find

appropriate information for the presentation5. Discuss what each person will do to prepare for the presentation after the

group meeting is over6. Conclude the meeting

• Have one member upload your recording to his/her assignments folder on Box AND send me a link after he/she has done so. I will respond to the link to confirm I can successfully access the video.

• I will post one or two of the videos by 4:00 on 9/11 (to the blog and Voicethread group) for your to leave audio or video comments on by 12:00 am on 9/12. More details to come on how the comments will be assessed.
