PROCEDURES FOR VISITORS TO THE SCHOOL

If any member of the public, whether parent, caregiver, grandparent, tradesperson or supplier etc., wants to come into school to see either a member of staff or a student at the school, there are procedures that need to be followed. Please:

1. Make an appointment to see whoever it is you want to meet with. Teachers are generally best contacted by email to arrange an appointment. All the school email addresses are generic – [email protected]. If you are not sure of an email address please contact the main office on (09) 295 0661 extension 0 and they will help you.

2. When you come into school make sure you sign in at Reception, just inside the main front door.

3. Please ask for a visitor’s sticker, if it is not given automatically, which you must wear at all times whilst you are on school grounds.

4. Remember to sign out when you leave.

Your support in this would be much appreciated.

PROCEDURES FOR UNWELL STUDENTS

If you receive a txt or phone call from your child saying they are unwell please…• Tell them to go to the nurse first before you come

to the school• The nurse will assess the student • Then she will contact the parent/caregiver if the student

needs to go home.We have systems in place to best manage this and the safety of students can be compromised if they txt family instead of following our procedures.

Your support in this would be much appreciated.

Hockey Wednesday 5th JuneCongratulations to our Rosehill 1st XI Boys Hockey team who took on the top of the table Waiuku team and came away with a 4-0 result. This was a fantastic and much needed win for the team. Some great goals scored from Daniel Shanks, Eshaan Patel and Kial Stewart.

Congratulations to our Rosehill 1st XI Girls Hockey team also coming away with a win against Waiuku College, 6-1 to Rosehill. Well done to both of those teams and good luck for your games next week!!! Thanks to our coaches Matt Williams and Blake Kayes for the boys team and to Carl Syman and Tammy Marais for the girls teams. Keep up the hard work!!! Next week the boys are playing a local derby on Wednesday night at Strathallan at 5pm and support would be greatly appreciated by the team.

Open Girls BasketballThe open girl’s basketball team played Ormiston Senior College this week. They started slowly but finished strong to win 53 – 22. Well done ladies

1st XI Football GirlsIt was hard going for the girls in cold conditions on a very waterlogged field, but they battled on to take a 2-1 victory against One Tree Hill College (both goals by Brenna). A 3rd goal was disallowed and several other shots came close.

The girls worked well as a team with every player having a shining moment where they contributed to the win and with most of the game being played in our half.

Thanks to Kenzie from 2nd XI for subbing in for us, adding some energy in the tiring last minutes, and to Brett for refereeing.

BadmintonThe C3 Grade team has been struggling in their matches but Selina Wong continues to impress helping Vakafahi win their doubles game and some chips!

C2 lost to James Cook One 1-5.

C1 beat James Cook Two 5-1. It was great to see Ramandeep Singh win his first singles game of the

season.

A Mixed team drew with Alfriston 3-3. This was a tense match, with Arisa Nagaya and Charlotte Ritchie stepping up to win their doubles game against the previously unbeaten pair from Alfriston.

A boys had a good win over Manurewa 4-2. It could have easily been the other way with both Sabin Ji and Blake Mansell winning their singles games 21-20! Sunwoo Kim and Sabin won their doubles 21-20 to seal the win.

Composure in tight situations is what was needed. Good to see players using breathing and visualization techniques to help them win.
