DefinitionsA formula is a mathematical relationship expressed with symbols. Some formulas have already been encountered in algebra.
The perimeter is the sum of the side lengths of a closed geometric figure. It is often thought of as the formulas used in other distance around a figure.
The formula for the perimeter (P) of a rectangle, with length ℓ and width w is: P = 2l + 2w
