7TH and 8th Grade School Newsletter for the month of February 2018.

Colonel Patty Barr from the 179th Airlift Wing spoke with our student leadership as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program. Colonel Barr has had a variety of experiences that she shared with students that have helped her become the leader that she is today, while inspiring our students!

Also, if you were not able to attend parent/teacher conferences but would still like to meet with your child’s teachers, please call one of your child’s teachers to set up an appointment. As part of our school’s partnership with the community, the Madison Fire Department was at our building this month to engage with our students in Health and Career Connections class. Talking points and demonstrations included CPR, fire and rescue, and how to take care of injuries.

The 7th and 8th grade choirs under the direction of Mrs. Bizarro and Mr. Green performed their annual spring concert this month. New to the program was the 7th and 8th grade Jazz Choir which has been rehearsing during lunch time. This opportunity gives our student a venue to further pursue their interest in singing while exposing them to different styles of music.

The Academic Challenge season has begun! Pictured here is one of our teams that has competed at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center. Their next meet is on March 20th, good luck students!

Students in 7th grade Science have been building an electric circuit as part of their lab this month. After the circuits were built, students then tested objects of their choice for conductivity.
