Definition: Particular way an author uses language

Example: Edgar Allan Poe = scary, moody, emotional, twisted = represented through his repetition and varies short and long sentences.

Memorization Tip: Just like YOU have a fashion style to wear clothes your way, authors use language in different ways to create style.
