Were the classes pleasing to you?
(Literal translation)
The literal translation of GUSTAR is “pleasing to someone”, which means it requires an INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUN!

Typically, you will use the 3rd person singular/plural form of the verb.
When the object being discussed is singular, use the 3rd person singular.
When the objects being discussed are plural, use the 3rd person plural.

When talking about what someone does/does not like TO DO, always use the 3rd person singular ending.
Me gusta estudiar español.
Me gusta estudiar y hablar español.
NOTICE! A singular ending is still used even though there are TWO infinitives that follow!

To show emphasis or to clarify who is pleased/bored, etc, you can use “A + noun/pronoun”
A mí me gustan las películas románticas.
A Miguel le aburre el programa.

Other verbs in Spanish require an INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUN (like gustar).
