SMALLSIZEAdvances in LED design has seen a reduction in the physical size of LED products, so allowing LEDs to offer a highly efficient and discrete answer to a multitude of lighting applications in a wide range of environments.

POWERUSAGE

Reduced energy consumption is another of the key advantages of LEDs. The mack-LED Division of Mackwell has the resource and experience to develop electronic circuits to drive high power LEDs as efficiently and effectively as possible, whilst not compromising upon the performance of the product.

LONGLIFESPAN

With some LEDs on the market now offering in excess of 100,000 hours of operational life, long life is another of the major advantages of using LEDs in lighting applications. However correct thermal management is essential to ensure that the LED operates at high outputs for it’s design life.

ROBUSTNESS

The construction of LEDs makes them intrinsically robust, and suitable for the most technically demanding lighting environments.

INSTANTLIGHT

With no pre-heat requirements to consider, LEDs operate instantaneously when activated giving instant illumination at peak efficiency.

VARIETY

LEDs are available in a wide variety of different packages to accommodate almost any application imaginable. This versatility enables LEDs to compete with traditional lighting on a more routine basis as the world strives to become more environmentally friendly.

THERMALMANAGEMENT

LEDs do produce a great deal of heat which has to be correctly controlled by the implementation of effective thermal management, to ensure high efficiency and long operational life.

Mackwell has a wide range of state of the art equipment to both measure, and manage the heat produced by LEDs.

With state of the art equipment at our disposal, our test facility is well resourced to ensure that all products are adequately designed, tested and manufactured in accordance with all appropriate local and international standards.
