BackgroundThe site is located on the Rusinga Islands on Lake Victoria in Nyanza Province, Western Kenya, 450 km West of NairobiThe Island covers an area of 44 sq km stretching 10km East-West and 4 km North-South

The site is divided into: Two locations, six sub locations and 42 EAs (Clusters)

Establishment The site was established in 2001 with a baseline household survey which provided the baseline data for the DSS

Objectives of the DSS
The site is designed to provide PSRI with a unique database for training and research with the following objectives : Provide training to PSRI students on research methodology
