Discipleship Opportunities
Lunch Time Support
Where: Lunch Room (Holy Family Parish Center)
When: 12:00 -1:00 p.m.
Discipleship: 1 hour
Desired # of Disciples: 3 maximum
- Reinforce school-wide virtues integration
- Student supervision at lunch tables
- Reinforce table etiquette and manners
- Assist in clean up and sanitation of tables/chairs/floor after lunch
- Assist with restroom supervision
Recess –Playground Support
Where: Playground Area

Discipleship: 1 hour
Desired # of Disciples: 2 maximum
- Reinforce school-wide Virtues program
- Active supervision on playground (bikes, bike track, slide, etc.
- Help with restroom escort.
- Assist with safety procedures when an emergency occurs
- Communicates with administration and classroom teachers regarding any
details observed that is helpful in meeting Our Lady of the Lake’s School
mission.

Family Sunday Mass—Lead the Rosary Where: Our Lady of the Lake Church
When: 10:00-10:30 a.m.
Discipleship: 1 hour
Desired # of Disciples: 3 families every month
Leading prayer requires additional training time so that families are familiar
with the procedure and process. This includes being prepared to speak into
a microphone, annunciating words, keeping an audible pace so that those
praying can pray well an in union. There is a mandatory preparation session
with parents or a family representative the Monday prior to serving.
- Practice in Choir Area (Monday prior to serving from 4:00-4:30 p.m.)
- Must learn to speak clearly into microphone.
- Please wear school uniform on Holy Family Sunday.
- Children must be accompanied by parent at Choir Area.
- Rosary starts promptly at 10:10am.
Parish Open House- August 17th, 18th Where: Church/Classrooms

This is our opportunity to showcase our school, students and families. Many of
our parishioners have strongly supported and continue to support our school.
We want to share and demonstrate the great things happening with our
families. Families are asked to be present, answer questions and lead a tour of
our school.
- Help set up tables with refreshments.
- Assist teacher s with classrooms, paperwork on tables, etc.
- Greet and welcome parishioners during event.
- Answer common questions related to the school.
- Help with clean up after event, wipe up tables, take out trash, etc.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Where: Host Family Home
When: First Rosary, October 28th

3 hours if hosting an evening

This is a unique opportunity to build a praying community amongst our school
and parish family. Your family can host or participate in the Novena of Rosaries
for Our Lady of Guadalupe. You are asked to pray for the intentions of our
school during the general intercessions at the gathering. Signups to host an
evening begins on September 21st at all weekend Mass. The first rosary will be
on October 28th.
- Graciously host a night of prayer and adoration for Our Lady of Guadalupe.
- Attend a rosary evening and pray for our school’s intentions.
o 1 Discipleship Hour.
Location list for rosaries will be released when available;
rosaries start promptly at 7:00pm.

Pumpkin Carving with Dad Where: Holy Family Parish Center
When: Thursday, October 24th
Discipleship: 2 hours
Desired # of Disciples: 4 maximum
- Set up carving tables with table covers and paper rolls and stations with
needed equipment.
- Set up refreshment table
- Manage carving stations with supplies such as carving tools and extra
pumpkins.
- Serve refreshments to families
- Wash up and sanitize any used carving utensils
- Wipe down and sanitize tables and chairs
School Ministry Fair Where: Narthex of the Church
When: October 26th, 27th
Discipleship: 1 hour

- Have child(ren) dressed in school uniform
- Greet and welcome parishioners
