HIPAA View Added to Locator Details Ortho/Pedo
For Administrators Only: A new App Preference has been created: LocatorDetailsHIPAAMode.
For Users: You now have the option to turn on HIPAA on the Locator Details window. When
HIPAA is checked from this window, patient names on the Locator Details window, the Locator
Bar and the Light Bar switch to patient IDs.
Note: When HIPAA is checked on the Locator Details window, Cloud 9 does not automatically
change patient names to patient IDs on appointments displayed on the Schedule. You can use
the HIPAA option on the Schedule to switch from patient names to patient IDs on the schedule.

When you check HIPAA, Cloud 9 automatically checks Hide Patient Images.
However, you can uncheck Hide Patient Images to view the patient images while keeping
HIPAA checked.

Rebuild Claims Utility
The Rebuild Claims Utility enables you to save time by making bulk updates to claims. Examples
of bulk updates include an insurance company’s billing address changes; your office moves or a
doctor leaves your practice. This feature is primarily used to update new claims not yet
submitted.
Once you make the desired update within Cloud 9, you can run the Rebuild Claims Utility.
Without this utility, you would have to manually update each claim.
1. From the Edit menu, select Run Utility> Rebuild Claims Utility.
The Rebuild Claims Utility displays.
2. Select the desired filters to locate the claims that need to be updated.
Notes:
• In the Status field, do not select Printed or Submitted. Claims marked as printed or submitted, in most cases, have already been submitted to the insurance company and making changes are usually not needed.
-
10
• If you select Use Date Range and leave the End Date blank, then the utility will rebuild claims from the start date into the future.
3. Click Rebuild Claims. The Rebuild Claims dialog box displays asking you whether you’re
sure you want to build X (number) of claims.
4. Click Rebuild. The Rebuilding Claims dialog box displays, confirming the number of
claims rebuilt.
5. Click Complete. The rebuild claims display in the Insurance Claim Queue.
