—a ministry of the New Pilgrim Educational Fund, Incorporated
As we have come to the close of another fiscal year (October 31st) and will come very soon to the close of this calendar year on December 31st, let’s rekindle our efforts and rejuvenate our energies to finish strong. The needs remain great at New Pilgrim: rising utility costs, our ongoing mortgage and our financial campaigns to Raise the Roof and for Kingdom Builder. Our earmarked/designated giving efforts have at times shifted funds away from our operational funding, and thereby have increased the need to remember our faithful commitment to bringing our Lord’s tithe (… the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord. Leviticus 27:32) and our freewill offerings. “Each person should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). I pray that the Lord’s faithfulness to blessing you will prompt you to honor his faithfulness, as you continue to cheerfully share with New Pilgrim.
Let’s finish strong by sharing in tithes and offerings to
support the work of the ministries at New Pilgrim. Doing so will help us meet our operational needs and to ably meet the monthly $19,650.00 mortgage. Consider giving more to New Pilgrim, even as we pledge to steward your gifts to do more with less. In doing this you will join us in ensuring that New Pilgrim will be stable, secure and striving: lifting as we climb. Join with us from this Sunday until this year shall give way to 2020 — join us in finishing strong!

Thanks are in order for all of our youth, youth staff and parents for a wonderful New Pilgrim Christmas celebration on Wednes-day. The children enjoyed them-selves and we were made happy through their joy. A special thanks from the Youth Staff to Sis. Wanda Toolabi, for seeing the blessings that such an event brings to life for a church. Our sanctuary holi-day greens and lights are beauti-ful! Thank you, and thank you again.
We received word this last week from our lender that we are moving forward with a more in-depth assessment of our reno-vation needs for the much needed next phase of improvements on our church. It is a costly, but necessary assessment so that we will clearly know what our renovation needs are. We are truly encouraged and eager to gather more momentum to
eradicate our roofing and water infiltration concerns at New Pilgrim. Let’s keep eyes on the prize, as we move forward in cadence with Cadence Bank to not only meet future needs, but to also comfortably meet our current mortgage. This week we plan to sign documents as approved in our annual meeting for a short-term extension of our existing mortgage which has matured. This will provide us with the time to get our roofing and renovation needs clearly assessed and bid out for repair. Your pastor and administrative team is at work … and more importantly: God is at work!
