MonbazillacDomaine Fonmourgues“Wehopetobefullyorganicwiththe2014vintage”enthusesDominiqueVidal,theownerofDomaineFonmourgues,“wearenearlythere”.Thewholeoperationatthistinyestateismanagedbyhand,fromharvestingthefruittogettingthewineintothebottle.Onlytheripest,botrytisaffected,grapesareselectedandtheyields,whichaveragebetween20to30hectolitresperhectare,aretiny;qualityhereoverrulesquantity.ThetwoclassicSauternesgrapes,Semillon(60%)andSauvignon(10%)formthemajorpartoftheblend,butitistheadditional30%ofMuscadellethatgivesFonmourguesitstruecharacter.Luxuriouslyrichandgloriouslysweet,thisisnotsomucharivaltoSauternesasanenjoyablealternative.

Availability and substitutionsWe do our utmost to make sure that every wine in the price list is available. From time to time we may run out of a particular wine or vintage, when this happens we will contact you to try and offer a suitable alternative.

Delivery chargesDelivery is FREE for orders over £250 +VAT to a single UK mainland address, additional charges may apply to areas of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Wight. All orders of less than £250 +VAT will be subject to a delivery charge (minimum £8.47 +VAT).
