95 WIRE SURgERy: Crimp connectors are attached to the four pairs of existing speaker wires. Make sure to note and maintain proper polarity of all wires. Typically the striped leads are the negative wires. 6 TEST fIT: After the wires from the unit were attached we tested the unit for all functions then went for a test fit into the console. Although we hoped to install the unit without removing the console, we werent satisfied with the fit and decided to remove the console. 7 SHAfT SpACINg: With the console removed from the car, which took just a few extra minutes, we adjusted the shafts spacing and the depth of the shafts (the26 MUSCLECAR ENTHUSIAST

10shaft holes are staggered) for the best possible fit. 8 LookINg good: The result? A perfectly mounted radio. On the original radio it wasnt possible to install the outer knobs due to the recessed cups; with the Retrosound USA radio it was, even though the inner knobs are non-functional on the new radio (all functions are accessed through the inner knobs or with the included remote) which gives a very factory-installed appearance. 9 BACk IN pLACE: Now the tricky part carefully repositioning the console, with the radio in place, back into the car. Be careful to not have the console scratch any soft trim. After the console is in place, the rear support bracket is reinstalled. After the console is in place, re-insert all the screws. 10 REAdy To RoCk: The completed installation. Looks great, dont you agree? Better yet, with its powerful built-in amplifier, it sounds as good as it looks. The rear pigtail for the USB input easily reaches into the glove box where we plugged in a $10, 4GB flash drive with more than 300 stored MP3 song files, in five separate folders.
