Surah al-Mulk (The Sovereignty)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful


ع&ل&ى و&ه(و& ال م(ل ك( &د�ه� �ي ب �ذ�ي ال ك& &ار& &ب تق&د�ير6 ي ء9 ش& (ل= ك

[67:1] Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things,


(م (و&ك &ب ل �ي ل &اة& ي و&ال ح& ال م&و ت& خ&ل&ق& �ذ�ي الال ع&ز�يز( و&ه(و& Gع&م&ال &ح س&ن( أ (م Kك &ي أ

ال غ&ف(ور(

[67:2] Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the

Mighty, the Forgiving,


م�ا &اقGا ط�ب م&او&ات9 س& ب ع& س& خ&ل&ق& �ذ�ي ال&ف&او(ت9 ت م�ن ح م&ن� الر� خ&ل ق� ف�ي ى &ر& ت

ف(ط(ور9 م�ن ى &ر& ت ه&ل &ص&ر& ال ب ج�ع� ف&ار

[67:3] Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of

the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?


&ي ك& �ل إ &نق&ل�ب ي &ي ن� ت &ر� ك &ص&ر& ال ب ج�ع� ار (م� ثير6 ح&س� و&ه(و&

G أ خ&اس� &ص&ر( ال ب

[67:4] Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is

fatigued.


�يح& �م&ص&اب ب &ا الدKن ي م&اء الس� �ا �ن ي ز& &ق&د و&ل&ا &د ن &ع ت و&أ &اط�ين� ي =لش� ل ج(ومGا ر( &اه&ا و&ج&ع&ل ن

ع�ير� الس� ع&ذ&اب& &ه(م ل

[67:5] And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the

chastisement of burning.


�م& ج&ه&ن ع&ذ&اب( =ه�م ب �ر& ب وا &ف&ر( ك �ذ�ين& �ل و&لال م&ص�ير( �ئ س& و&ب

[67:6] And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort.


و&ه�ي& ه�يقGا ش& &ه&ا ل م�ع(وا س& ف�يه&ا (ل ق(وا أ �ذ&ا إ&ف(ور( ت

[67:7] When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves,


ف�يه&ا (ل ق�ي& أ �م&ا (ل ك ال غ&ي ظ� م�ن& �ز( &م&ي ت &اد( &ك ت&ذ�ير6 ن (م �ك &أ ت ي &م &ل أ (ه&ا &ت ن خ&ز& &ه(م ل

& أ س& ف&و ج6

[67:8] Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there

not come to you a warner?


&ا و&ق(ل ن &ا &ذ�ب ن ف&ك &ذ�ير6 ن &ا ج&اءن ق&د &ل&ى ب (وا ق&ال�ال� إ (م &نت أ �ن إ ء9 ي ش& م�ن �ه( الل ل& &ز� ن م&ا

�ير9 &ب ك ل9 ض&ال& ف�ي

[67:9] They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has

not revealed anything, you are only in a great error.


�ا (ن ك م&ا &ع ق�ل( ن و & أ م&ع( &س ن �ا (ن ك &و ل (وا و&ق&ال

ع�ير� الس� ص ح&اب�& أ ف�ي

[67:10] And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the

inmates of the burning fire.


ص ح&اب� & أل= ح قGا ف&س( �ه�م �ذ&نب ب ف(وا &ر& ف&اع ت

ع�ير� الس�

[67:11] So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the

burning fire.


&ه(م ل �ال غ&ي ب� ب �ه(م ب ر& و ن& &خ ش& ي �ذ�ين& ال �ن� إ�ير6 &ب ك &ج ر6 و&أ ة6 م�غ ف�ر&

[67:12] (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great

reward.


�ه( �ن إ �ه� ب وا اج ه&ر( و�& أ (م &ك ق&و ل وا Kر &س� و&أ

الصKد(ور� �ذ&ات� ب �يم6 ع&ل

[67:13] And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.


الل�ط�يف( و&ه(و& خ&ل&ق& م&ن &م( &ع ل ي &ال& أ�ير( ب ال خ&

[67:14] Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware.


Gوال) ذ&ل ر ض&& األ (م( &ك ل ج&ع&ل& �ذ�ي ال ه(و&

ق�ه� ز ر= م�ن (وا (ل و&ك �ه&ا �ب &اك م&ن ف�ي وا ف&ام ش(ور( Kش( الن &ي ه� �ل و&إ

[67:15] He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after

death.


&خ س�ف& ي &ن أ م&اء الس� ف�ي م�ن (م &م�نت &أ أ&م(ور( ت ه�ي& �ذ&ا ف&إ ر ض&

& األ (م( �ك ب

[67:16] Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up?

Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion.


ل& س� (ر ي &ن أ م&اء الس� ف�ي م�ن (م &م�نت أ &م أ&ذ�ير� ن &ي ف& ك &م(ون& &ع ل ت ف&س& Gا ح&اص�ب (م &ي ك ع&ل

[67:17] Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment?

Then shall you know how was My warning.


&ي ف& ف&ك �ه�م ق&ب ل م�ن �ذ�ين& ال &ذ�ب& ك &ق&د و&ل&ك�ير� ن &ان& ك

[67:18] And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval.


ص&اف�ات9 ف&و ق&ه(م الط�ي ر� �ل&ى إ و ا &ر& ي &م و&ل& أ

�ه( �ن إ ح م&ن( الر� �ال� إ (ه(ن� ك (م س� ي م&ا �ض ن& &ق ب و&ي&ص�ير6 ب ي ء9 ش& (ل= �ك ب

[67:19] Have they not seen the birds above them expanding (their wings) and contracting (them)?

What is it that withholds them save the Beneficent Allah? Surely He sees everything.


(م ك &نص(ر( ي (م �ك ل ج(ند6 ه(و& �ذ�ي ال ه&ذ&ا م�ن & أ

�ال� إ ون& &اف�ر( ال ك �ن� إ ح م&ن� الر� د(ون� م=نور9 غ(ر( ف�ي

[67:20] Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The

unbelievers are only in deception.


ك& م س&& أ �ن إ (م ق(ك ز( &ر ي �ذ�ي ال ه&ذ&ا م�ن

& أ(ف(ور9 و&ن wو) ع(ت ف�ي �جKوا ل &ل ب ق&ه( ر�ز

[67:21] Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they

persist in disdain and aversion.


&ه د&ى أ و&ج ه�ه� ع&ل&ى yا �ب م(ك &م ش�ي ي &ف&م&ن أاط9 ص�ر& ع&ل&ى yا و�ي س& &م ش�ي ي م�ن

[67:22] What! is he who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright upon a

straight path?


(م( &ك ل و&ج&ع&ل& (م &ك أ &نش& أ �ذ�ي ال ه(و& ق(ل م�ا Gيال� ق&ل �د&ة& &ف ئ و&األ &ب ص&ار& و&األ م ع& الس�

ون& (ر( ك &ش ت

[67:23] Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the

hearts: little is it that you give thanks.


&ي ه� �ل و&إ ر ض�& األ ف�ي (م &ك أ ذ&ر& �ذ�ي ال ه(و& ق(ل

ون& ر( (ح ش& ت

[67:24] Say: He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered.


(م (نت ك �ن إ ال و&ع د( ه&ذ&ا &ى م&ت (ون& &ق(ول و&ي ص&اد�ق�ين&

[67:25] And they say: When shall this threat be (executed) if you are truthful?


&ذ�ير6 ن &ا &ن أ �م&ا �ن و&إ �ه� الل ع�ند& ال ع�ل م( �م&ا �ن إ ق(ل �ين6 مKب

[67:26] Say: The knowledge (thereof is only with Allah and I am only a plain warner.


�ذ�ين& ال و(ج(وه( &ت يئ س� Gل ف&ة ز( و ه(& أ ر& &م�ا ف&ل

�ه� ب (م (نت ك �ذ�ي ال ه&ذ&ا و&ق�يل& وا &ف&ر( ك&د�ع(ون& ت

[67:27] But when they shall see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve shall be sorry, and it shall be said; This is that which you used to call for.


م�ع�ي& و&م&ن �ه( الل �ي& &ن &ك &ه ل أ �ن إ (م &ي ت أ ر&& أ ق(ل

م�ن &اف�ر�ين& ال ك (ج�ير( ي ف&م&ن &ا ح�م&ن ر& و & أ

[67:28] Say: Have you considered if Allah should destroy me and those with me-- rather He will have mercy on us; yet who will protect the unbelievers

from a painful punishment?


&ا �ل ن &و&ك ت &ي ه� و&ع&ل �ه� ب �ا آم&ن ح م&ن( الر� ه(و& ق(ل �ين9 مKب ل9 ض&ال& ف�ي ه(و& م&ن &م(ون& &ع ل ت ف&س&

[67:29] Say: He is the Beneficent Allah, we believe in Him and on Him do we rely, so you shall come

to know who it is that is in clear error.


ا Gغ&و ر (م م&اؤ(ك &ح& ص ب& أ �ن إ (م &ي ت أ ر&

& أ ق(ل م�ع�ين9 �م&اء ب (م �يك &أ ت ي ف&م&ن

[67:30] Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you

flowing water?
