THE OBJECTS OF KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL
To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life. To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards. To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship. To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities. To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.
-DEFINING STATEMENT- Kiwanis International is a global organization of
volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
-Adopted July 2005

EXTRAORDINARY WORK
Kiwanis, through guidance and example, works to develop future generations of leaders. Every day, Ki-wanians are revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth-sports programs, tutoring, building playgrounds, and performing countless other projects to help chil-dren and communities.
Together Each Achieves More: The following resolution was passed at the International Convention in Orlando : Whereas Kiwanis International is a global organi-zation with members of different cultures, genders, religions, ethnic backgrounds, abilities and ages; and Whereas all Kiwanians commit to creating a deep understanding and appreciation of our diversity and diverse perspectives; and Whereas this commitment leads to recruitment of new members and brings increased diversity to our clubs and expanded service to our communities; and Whereas our commitment to diversity, as em-braced by all levels of leadership and reflected in our membership composition, is key to our becoming club, community, state, province, country, and world leaders; Therefore, be it resolved that the delegates as-sembled at the 2008 International Convention in Or-lando, Florida, and all Kiwanis leaders and members take action to create a culture and club environment that develops and nurtures mutual respect for all and celebrates the inclusiveness of our beloved Kiwanis.. ___________________________________________ “All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and im-portance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
