Backwards compatibility for MapBasic applications

Existing MapBasic applications will run in the 64 bit version of MapInfo Pro but with some exceptions.• Applications that call 32 bit DLLs will need to be
upgraded.• Calls to Windows functions might or might not work,
depending on changes in the Operating System.• The 64 bit version does not have the Graph
window nor the Legacy Layout window.
MapBasic applications will appear in the ToolManager and menus and buttons will appear on a special Legacy tab.

Is the 64-bit version a separate product? Does it cost extra? • No. With MapInfo Pro v15.0 and 15.2, the same
serial number and access code work for both the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version.

What version number is the 64-bit release?• Version 16.0 is the latest version.
