President’s WelcomeWelcome to the beautiful Atlantis Resort and to ABMA’s 102nd Annual Convention. It has been my pleasure to serve our Association in numerous capacities over the past many years, and for an organization that is entering its second century of service to the industry, it is exciting to know that we are still strong, vibrant and relevant. Paradise Island is a great place to connect with friends, enjoy the area’s attractions and to gain some much
needed life/work balance. Get ready for a great week and thanks for attending!
On Wednesday feel free to attend any of the various committee meetings as they are open to the membership and your input is welcome. Don’t miss the All Divisional Meeting on Wednesday afternoon where they have been strengthened with the addition of the timely Meet The Pros Roundtable. Many thanks to all of this year’s moderators. During the Opening Reception you can network with friends, new members and guests so everyone can get to know each other right away.
Attend the Thursday morning business session, where you can meet our new members, our prospective members, guests, and many of your friends again. We will also use this time to bring you up to speed on new Association activities and events of the past year. Immediately following the business session we will present this year’s education presentation of speaker and leading bitcoin and blockchain authority Jack Shaw who will talk about the Future of Money. I am certain his presentation will be meaningful to your business. After lunch enjoy the always popular golf tournament. The scramble format allows golfers of all abilities to have fun and to make new friends.
On Thursday evening please collect to meet your friends at our One Hour Reception, followed by dinner on your own for some valuable networking time.
Friday starts off with the Face 2 Face Suppliers Display, another “can’t miss” opportunity where you will be able to meet with many of your current suppliers and many suppliers new to the Association. After lunch feel free to participate in the Dolphin Interaction or use the time for networking, business discussions or alternative diversions. Friday night come join us for our Suppliers Reception. Enjoy the evening dressed in your nice casual resort wear and enjoy the surroundings, fellowship and dance the night away.
On behalf of all of the Directors, I thank you for your support of ABMA. I trust that you will have ample opportunities for networking and I am sure you will enjoy your stay in the Bahamas.

ABMA EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE3:00PM – 5:00PMAdonisMeet the Pros – “An interactive industry roundtable event”
We enjoy learning from our peers. Everyone is curious about what their co-manufacturers/competitors/customers are doing or have done concerning certain industry related topics that affect everyone. Envision a room with approximately 8 - 10 tables and 90 total minutes (or less) for people to rotate around from table to table, every 10 minutes. Completely open format. Visit one table or all ten. Or something in
between. Our “pros” come from within our industry.

The New Internet of Trust: Bitcoin, Blockchains, and Smart Contracts
The world will change more in the next 5 - 10 years than it has in the past fifty. And perhaps no technology will drive that change more than Blockchain. It will affect every organization in every industry- just as the Internet has. Executives are becoming aware that Blockchain is important, but it is still not well understood by most.
The enabling technology underlying the digital currency Bitcoin, Blockchain lets people and businesses have trustworthy interactions without requiring costly third party intermediaries. They can create and maintain cryptographically secure, completely immutable, totally verifiable records of transactions, ownership of assets, authentication of identity, exchange of digital currencies, and smart contracts.
6
Program Highlights and What’s New
ContinuedSmart Contracts are created using computer code on a Blockchain rather than written language. Like a traditional legal document, a Smart Contract defines rules and consequences, stating the obligations, benefits, and penalties for each party in given situations. But unlike conventional contracts, as computer programs, Smart Contracts also can receive and process information and take actions as needed - including the ability to electronically execute and enforce contractual commitments in real-time.
Jack Shaw is a Pragmatic Visionary, a Digital Strategist, an experienced Technology Executive, a Consulting Futurist, and a world renowned Keynote Speaker. He was voted one of the World’s Top 5 Technology Futurists by over 12,000 meetings planners, executives and conference attendees.
A leading authority on blockchain and bitcoin, Jack Shaw shares insights on using this enabling technology to devise winning business strategies and prepare for a future of accelerating change.
As the co-founder and executive director of the American Blockchain Council, Jack shares his expertise in helping others grasp the strategic business implications of blockchain and other emerging technologies. A technology futurist for more than 30 years, his guidance in the use of blockchain enables c-level executives and business audiences to plan for a future of exciting change.
