Greater Augusta Youth Theatre 4872 Sandstone Ct. Evans, GA 30809 (706) 860-9729 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Greater Augusta Youth Theatre will hold auditions for the musical monster hit, Annie, on Saturday, July 19th at Dayspring Baptist Church @ 4:00 P.M. Rehearsals will run August - November 2014, becoming more and more frequent as we approach the show date. Absolutely NO CONFLICTS will be allowed November 10-13th under ANY circumstances. Conflicts have a major impact on casting decisions. ALL roles are open for casting, and we will need to have a strong ensemble. Please prepare 16 - 32 bars of an upbeat, broadway-style song to sing, and you must have sheet music for the accompanist. No a cappella singing will be permitted. You will also be expected to learn and perform a routine dance audition for the choreographer, and be prepared to cold read from the script. At the audition, you MUST have a parent/guardian signature on the audition form, so parents will be required to remain with their children throughout the audition process. All performers are encouraged to learn as much as possible about the show before the auditions as this information might prove extremely helpful.
