SeaWAVEThe Rowe Technologies SeaWAVE family of Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) represent the industry state of the art in acoustic Doppler technology. The SeaWAVE ADCP can measure wave direction and wave height while also providing full current profile data - even throughout the waves burst.
The SeaWAVE simultaneously measures wave spectra, wave direction, and complete current profiles, for every ping. The SeaWAVE can also measure current profiles during the wave burst interval, so you can get full coverage during your deployment!The SeaWAVE uses both a vertical beam and a pressure sensor (0.05%) to accurately measure range to the surface. The vertical beam functions similar to an inverted echo sounder providing more accurate, higher frequency waves measurements. !Large aperture vertical beam… The SeaWAVE uses a full-size transducer for its 5th, vertical beam, providing a narrower radiation pattern for more accurate measurements of surface range and vertical water motion. !Data storage - the SeaWAVE can accommodate up to 32GB of internal memory, allowing all raw current profile data to be stored for more thorough post processing. !Date Interfaces - In addition to the common serial interfaces that are supported by the SeaWAVE (RS232, RS485, RS422), it also supports a separate Ethernet interface which can be used to speed data download.!Software - Data from the SeaWAVE ADCP can be exported to work with common scientific data analysis packages, like Matlab.!RTI also offers a fully integrated ADCP interface and waves post processing software suite written by Waveforce Technologies, in their Wavector and XWaves Ocean Wave Data Analysis software packages.
