Outpatient Department

Identification:

The place where patients come from outside the hospital to get examination and/or therapy and return home in the same day.

Location:• In small hospitals: Near the main entrance.• In Large hospitals: Special entrance.• Location in the ground and/or first floor.• Outpatient area must not interact with inpatient area.

Components

1) Administrative and public areas:a) Entrance.b) Lobby includes:

i. Wheel chair storage space.ii. Reception and information counter or desk.iii. Waiting spaces.iv. Public toilet facilities.v. Public telephone.vi. Drinking fountain.

c) Interview space for admission.d) Office for records and administrative staff.e) Storage space.

1) Clinical facilities:a) Examination rooms.

b) Treatment room.

c) Charting facilities.

d) Drug distribution station.

e) Clean work room.

f) Soiled work room.

1) Diagnostic facilities:a) Radiological facility for diagnostic services.

b) Laboratory services.

يجب أن تكون اللفتات الرشادية واضحة للمريض من مدخل المستشفى و1).حتى دخول منطقة العيادات الخارجية

يفضل أن يكون للعيادات الخارجية مدخل مستقل عن باقى عناصر المستشفى2)يمكن استخدام المدخل الرئيسى فى المستشفيات المتوسطة أو صغيرة(

).الحجم.يجب أن تكون صالة النتظار كافية لعدد المترددين على العيادات الخارجية3).يجب وجود غرفة للتجبيس بجوار عيادة العظام4)فى حالة وجود عيادة للطب الطبيعى و الروماتيزم يفضل أن تكون بجوار5)

.عيادة المخ و العصاب و بها أجهزة رسم العضلت و رسم المخيراعى أن تحتوى منطقة العيادات الخارجية فى المستشفى العام على خمسة6)

.غرف على القل للكشف و العلج منها غرفة عيادة أسنان

Emergency Department

The emergency department provides health care for patients of internal disease or rapid surgical need during the day or night 24 hours.

Emergency department components:

• An entrance at grade level, sheltered from the weather. *• A reception and control area near the entrance, waiting

area and treatment room(s).• Public waiting space with toilet facility, public telephone

and drinking fountain.• Treatment room(s). *• Storage area for stretchers.• Staff work office with charting facility.• Clean supply storage.• Soiled work room.• Patients’ toilet room. ** Minimum requirements and most important.

يجب تخصيص مكان مظلل أو مقفل لنتظار عربة إسعاف3).واحدة على القل

يفضل تخصيص مكان فى الموقع لمهبط طائرة هليكوبتر خاصة4).فى المواقع السكانية النائية

سهولة إتصال قسم الطوارئ بقسم الشعة و القسام الداخلية5).للمستشفى
