We've identified six key intervention strategies inspired by the principles of behaviour change. Make sure that products and services are presented in a way that stimulate the desired behaviour. Target key influencers People are influenced by other people's behaviours and attitudes, especially those who they respect. Target key influencers within networks to seed your desired behaviour and encourage diffusion. Tell a compelling story Reward good behaviour Increase the appeal of changing behaviour and mitigate against perceived losses by introducing incentives or rewards. Make it easy to change Change can be effortful. Try and make the pathway to change as easy or as smooth as possible for your consumers. Discourage relapse Consumers often relapse into their old behavioural pattern. Discourage through interventions (e.g. smoking bans). People are more likely to respond to a story than a presentation of facts - consider the way in which you communicate the benefits of change to ensure maximum appeal amongst your target audience.
