Desire™ Roth Ceramic BracketsDesire’s unique gold alloy archwire slot reduces frictional resistance between archwires and ceramic brackets, that causes ‘binding’. Precision machining produces a smaller, more compact bracket, with less bulk and more strength. Bonding base provides a mechanical lock for safe, trouble-free bonding/de-bonding.

No priming necessary, just use your existing metal bracket adhesive and technique. Due to the translucent characteristics of polycrystalline ceramic, Desire brackets absorb light and take up the natural shade of the patients dentition.

DESIRE brackets have true torque-in-base and are available in custom sets for individual patients.

NB: If upper incisal enamel wear is a concern, we recommend bonding the lower teeth with ‘Polar-Plus’ brackets, which are identical to DESIRE brackets, but are made of softer polyurethane composite (see page 36).

Composite Aesthetic Brackets

Polar™ Roth POLAR™ brackets are made from medical grade polyurethane, and provide a strong, compact and bulk-free bracket. They are popular with orthodontic clinicians, as they offer good levels of clinical performance, aesthetics and resistance to staining (although excessive exposure to hot, spicy foods and nicotine can cause some staining). The bracket design eliminates bracket fractures and tooth abrasion common with some ceramics.

The bonding base is compound contoured for enhanced bracket/tooth adaptation and fit. The retentive undercuts of the base allieviate the need for special bracket primers - just use your existing metal bracket adhesive and technique!

Polar-Plus RothExactly the same bracket design and specification as Polar brackets, except that Polar-Plus brackets incorporate a gold alloy insert, which provides a more rigid archwire slot for enhanced torque. Another excellent clinical advantage is the reduced friction for improved sliding mechanics.

All PolarTM and Polar-Plus brackets are available in patient sets, or individually. All brackets twin-wing design with torque in base. Cuspid/bicuspid brackets are available with hooks on request. If you require hooks, please add the suffix H to the end of the number - eg 2044-006H

24K Gold Plated Nickel Titanium Archwires These super-elastic archwires are 24K gold plated, and have a hard and extremely smooth surface finish, that WILL NOT wear off during treatment. Also, these are ideal archwires to use if your patient has an allergy to nickel, as the nickel content is locked under the gold plating, and therefore not able to come into contact with the patient. Sold in a pack of 10 archwires, or individually.
