Instructions: You will practice 3-4 affirmations over the next 30 days. If you feel

inspired to write you own affirmations, just make sure that your affirmation is positive

Log Your "Confidence in Action" for 30 DaysKeep a daily log of what you’ve done to exude confidence.  I’ve included a list of ideas from the program to give you some ideas, but feel free to take different

actions where you face your fear and embrace confidence.

Smile at everyone you meet; hold your head high and make solid eye-contact.

Tell your boss something you’ve been afraid to say. (Just do it calmly and without

malice.)

Go the entire day without comparing yourself to anyone else.

Ask someone out on a date (if you’re single and unattached!)

Admit when you’re wrong.

Go a whole day without saying your sorry for things you’ve had nothing to do with.

Exercise - it’s a confidence booster!

Remain calm when your usual response would be to wig out.

Talk clear and at a steady pace; not fast, not mumbly, and don’t go on and on

endlessly.

Dress in a way that makes you feel confident.

Use body language to express yourself; talk with your hands to show your enthusiasm.

Draw a boundary that needs to be drawn in your life.

Learn something new.

Ask a good question; don’t hesitate show you don’t know something.

Ask for what you want (from your spouse, partner, friend, boss, family … whomever!)

Tell your inner voice that says “I can’t” to shut up, and override it.

"Confidence in Action" Ideas Continued Resist the urge to judge others.

Express gratitude for the skills and talents you possess and the opportunities available

to you. Focus on the positive, not the negative.

Find a way to demonstrate a talent or skill to others who don’t understand all you can

do.

Say “no”  to something you really don’t want to do.

Do not react when someone criticizes you; respond by probing for more information

or by politely ignoring their criticism entirely if it’s truly off base.

Speak up for yourself at work or at home when you’d usually remain silent.

Face a fear (not a life-threatening one).

Take on a new challenge at work or in your personal life that’ll put you in the spotlight.

Give up fidgeting for the day.

Toot your own horn - humbly yet firmly.

Share a point of vulnerability with someone.

Be genuine; drop the masks you’ve been wearing and be authentic.

Deliberately try something that you will probably fail at, then face the failure as a

learning experience.

Be a better listener; confident people don’t feel a need to talk over others to be heard.

Go to lunch with a confident person and study what makes them appear so confident.

The Tools Required to Help You Create the Change You Want:

Know your compelling "why" (i.e., why do you want to believe in yourself more

fully?)

Recognize the inner drivers of old negative beliefs about yourself that no longer

serve you (and that never did!).

Stop believing everything your mind thinks; your mind will chatter endlessly, but

much of what it says is not true.

Start noticing ANTs (automatic negative thoughts); be a keen observer of what's

going on in that head of yours.  Self-awareness is a must!

Exchange unhelpful thoughts for affirming thoughts.

Practice the language of confidence and high-self worth (affirmations).

"Act as if" ... even if you don't feel confident, practice confident behaviors and

actions anyway.  Facing your fears is key to getting what you really want.

Love yourself as if your life depended on it ... because if you don't love yourself,

you'll soon fall back into the low self-worth habits and confidence traps that have

been frustrating you for years. You deserve better!
