Ex ‘d’ *1 Flame-proof
Ⅱ *2 For factories and industrial buildings
B+H2 *3 Group B including H2
T6 *4 Temperature grade below 95℃
*1 While the methods of protection from explosion are various, the certificates of explosion-proof lamps include the flame-proof enclosure, increased-safety explosion-proof certificate, and non-incendive explosion-proofing. Among these methods of protection, "Flame-proof Enclosure" is an international term describing an enclosure that can withstand the pressure developed during an internal explosion of an explosive mixture and that prevents the transmission of the explosion to the explosive atmosphere surrounding the enclosure and that operates at such an external temperature that a surrounding explosive gas or vapor will not be ignited thereby. This enclosure is most durable and similar to an explosion-proof enclosure. This type of protection is referred to by IEC as “Ex ‘d’”. These LED lamps are certified with the flame-proof enclosure.
* 2 Classification terms designating dangerous locations differ by countries. The term "Zone" is used in Europe (CENELEC and IEC), while the term "Division" is used in the United States and Canada.
"Zone" or "Division" is the international method of specifying the probability that a location is made hazardous by the presence, or potential presence of flammable concentrations of gases or vapors.
・Zone 0 (Division 1) : An area in which an explosive gas-air mixture is continuously present or present for long periods. In the U.S., Zone 0 and Zone 1 are incorporated into Division 1.
・Zone 1 (Division 1) : An area in which an explosive gas-air mixture is likely to occur in normal operation. Equal to a Division 1 hazardous location in the U.S. and Canadian classifications.
・Zone 2 (Division 2) : An area in which an explosive gas-air mixture is not likely to occur and if it does occur, will only exist for a short time.
* 3 This LED lamp encompasses all the atmospheres (hazardous gases or vapors) in Group B as well as H₂ in Group C.
*4 The temperature identification number represents the maximum surface temperature of any component that may come in contact with the flammable gas or vapor mixture. Six temperature classes are allocated to the explosion-proof lamp from T1 to T6. This LED lamp was certified with the highest T6 class.
